A Message Regarding Group Piano Classes

UPDATE: Diaz School of Piano studio will be closed until Monday, April 13, 2020 - all classes, help room, and lessons will not be held at the studio until that time.

Original Post: “At this time, Diaz School of Piano is planning on holding regularly scheduled classes. We are continuing to check updates and recommendations from the state of Michigan as outlined here: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/0,9753,7-406-98163-521463--,00.html

Precautions we will continue to take include:

offering hand sanitizer in each room
promoting proper hand washing
offering disinfecting wipes for all piano stations
disinfecting piano stations (including headphones) between each class
urging those who are sick to remain at home
routinely cleaning frequently touched surfaces

As we continue to monitor updates and follow the issue as it evolves, we will do our best to continue to communicate updates regarding class schedules other pertinent information. “

Diaz School of Piano

The Diaz School of Piano is unique in comparison to traditional piano instruction. Students are equipped with the ability to read and play traditional classical music as well as contemporary, blues, and pop styles. Through a pattern-based approach, students will grow in their ability to improvise, arrange, and compose pieces in new and original ways. All of this is achieved in a social setting, where students take classes together and get to share their growth, challenges, and successes with one another. This fun and encouraging environment gives students motivation to learn piano skills that they can take from the studio to share with their community.
